Services

Hello there – I’m Drew Timme, LMFT. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, I’m a therapist helping adolescents and adults deepen connections, embrace the present, and grow beyond limiting patterns.

What can therapy help you with?

People come to therapy for many reasons — to feel less anxious or stuck, to understand themselves more deeply, or to build stronger, more authentic relationships. Some are navigating life transitions, grief, or past trauma; others simply want to live with greater purpose and connection.

Whatever brings you here, my role is to meet you where you are. I work collaboratively to help you explore your emotions in the present moment, uncover patterns that no longer serve you, and develop new ways of relating to yourself and others.

Who I Work With

I provide individual therapy for adolescents (ages 14+) and adults. My approach is well-suited for clients who are curious, verbal, and ready to engage in experiential, emotion-focused work.

I commonly work with individuals experiencing:

  • Anxiety, stress, or burnout
  • Depression and emotional disconnection
  • Relationship challenges and attachment injuries
  • Trauma and post-traumatic stress
  • Life transitions or identity concerns
  • Behavioral patterns that feel hard to change, including substance use

I am well-experienced working with a broad spectrum of adolescent clients (LGBTQ, trans, CPS/county involvement, housing unstable, and college-bound) presenting with a variety of challenges, such as anxiety, depression, loss, family conflict, reverberations of ADHD, and PTSD. What I love most is supporting clients in the process of consolidating their internal resources to build the type of life they want to inhabit.

What to Expect in Therapy

You can expect warmth, advocacy, laugher, playfulness, and a fiercely kind and validating here-and-now exploration of experience in my sessions. While I am eclectic in approach, my inclinations are often toward systems theories, experiential approaches, and existential philosophies, with enough CBT-informed tools to assist in the real struggles of day-to-day life.

Your first few sessions focus on understanding your goals, your history, and what feels most pressing right now. From there, therapy becomes a collaborative process — one that balances insight with emotional experience. I utilize Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Systems-Centered Therapy (SCT), and attachment-based and trauma-informed methods to support growth at a pace that feels right for you.

Together, you’ll work toward greater self-understanding, resilience, and connection — creating meaningful change that lasts.

What Services I do Not Offer

  • Custody or forensic evaluations
  • Court-mandated therapy
  • Neuropsychological or academic testing

Insurance and paying for therapy

At this time, I am not paneled with insurance providers. However, I am able to provide clients a superbill for potential out-of-network reimbursement from their insurance company. I encourage clients to reach out to their insurer to learn more about specific reimbursement policies and procedures.

My current rate for therapy services is $150 per hour for individual and $180 per hour for couple or family.
