About

Drew Timme, LMFT

Therapy is about connection — with yourself, with others, and with the present moment.

For me, that belief has guided a lifelong commitment to helping people grow. Before becoming a therapist, I spent years as a teacher, mentor, and coach — supporting students, athletes, and families in finding confidence, purpose, and resilience. My background in education shaped my very patient, curious approach to therapy: everyone has the capacity to learn, heal, and change.

Today, I work with adolescents and adults who want to deepen their emotional awareness, strengthen relationships, and move beyond patterns that keep them stuck. My work is grounded in attachment-oriented and trauma-informed care, utilizing Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Systems-Centered Therapy (SCT), and experiential methods that bring attention to what’s happening in the here and now.

Clients often describe me as grounded, attuned, and collaborative. I strive to create a space where it’s safe to feel — and to grow through those feelings.

Whether you’re navigating anxiety, trauma, disconnection, or a sense that life could feel more fulfilling, I will help you uncover what’s possible when you grow deeper, feel stronger, and live freer.

My Professional Background

I earned my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of San Francisco and hold additional graduate degrees in Education and English Literature from Emory University and the University of Kentucky. Before private practice, I provided therapy and group support to adolescents and families at local high schools, focusing on anxiety, trauma, and connection.

My ongoing training includes:
– Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
– Systems-Centered Therapy (SCT)
– The Open Doors Project for Youth Engagement
– Dr. Sue Johnson’s Intensive Course in Emotionally Focused Therapy: Attachment Based Interventions for Couple in Crisis
– Gottman Method Couples Therapy Level 1

Working with Me

Therapy with me is collaborative, experiential, and rooted in genuine connection. You’ll explore emotions in the present moment, uncover patterns that no longer serve you, and build the tools to move forward with clarity and confidence. If you’re ready to grow deeper, feel stronger, and live freer, reach out to schedule a conversation and take the first step toward meaningful change.
